Three Aurora residents are among six individuals facing trafficking charges related to drugs and weapons as a result of the York Regional Police’s Project Blade.
Through the investigation, officers seized 28 ounces of cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $24,000, four firearms, one replica firearm, a vehicle, a motorcycle and $66,000 in cash.
“Investigators with the York Regional Police (YRP) Guns, Gangs, and Drug Enforcement Unit have charged six people and seized drugs and firearms following a lengthy investigation into cocaine trafficking in York Region and the Greater Toronto Area,” said YRP Constable James Dickson. “The investigation began back in 2025, after officers became aware of an individual involved in the trafficking of controlled substances and firearms in York Region and surrounding areas.
“Over several months, investigators have identified additional suspects and gathered evidence related to the distribution of firearms and controlled substances.”
Search warrants related to the case were executed July 16 at residences in Aurora, Vaughan, and Toronto.
Antonio Augustino, 35, of Vaughan, is charged with one count of Weapons Trafficking, two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized, two counts of Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, two counts of Tampering with Serial Number, two counts of Possession of a Prohibited Device, and Carried a Concealed Weapon.
Paulo Melo, 55, of Toronto, is charged with Weapons Trafficking, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x2, Tampering with Serial Number x2, and Possession of a Prohibited Device x2.
Sandra Rocha, 55, of Toronto, is charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x2, Possession of a Prohibited Device x2, and Tampering with Serial Number.
Shahriar Daliri, 33, of Aurora, is charged with Conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance, Trafficking of a Controlled Substance x3, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2, and Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000.
Carmelo Parisi, 30, of Aurora, is charged with Conspiracy to Traffic in a Controlled Substance
Trafficking in Substance x2, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2, and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
Tyler Agnel, 29, of Aurora, is charged with Conspiracy to Traffic in a Controlled Substance, Trafficking in Substance, and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
None of the above charges have been proven and the investigation remains ongoing.
