Mayor gives thanks to Ribfest participants

September 25, 2013   ·   0 Comments

I would like to thank Town staff and all the vendors and sponsors who helped make this year’s Aurora Ribfest a resounding success. The comments I have received have been overwhelmingly “the best yet!”
The Town of Aurora is proud to organize and host this annual event, which consistently draws thousands of residents and visitors to our community.
I would also like to thank the Rotary Club for their assistance in running the Ribfest Beer Garden. The Rotarians have long assisted the Town by running beverage operations at our events and I look forward to continuing this mutually-beneficial relationship for years to come.
This year’s Ribfest also featured the Magna Hoedown Showdown Talent Competition. The Hoedown is a fantastic event and fundraiser for Aurora charities and non-profit groups, and I am pleased that we were able to work together to support the outstanding work of a great community partner.
Town staff is already preparing for next year’s Ribfest, with another great line-up of vendors and live entertainment. I hope to see you all there.

Mayor Geoffrey Dawe
Aurora
