“Celebrate Aurora” starts rolling out lineup

Celebrate Aurora, the new Aurora music festival, taking place this July in Town Park will present an array of proven, local, and developing talent to take the stage on the weekend of July 26 – July 28.

The numerous performances that weekend will include tribute bands Hot Rocks, Crush, and California Sun, celebrating the music of the Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys and Bon Jovi. Local favourites, including Big Table, Glenn Marais, and others will grace the stage with original songs and covers that audiences are sure to enjoy.

Also featured at Celebrate Aurora will be a range of up and coming young talent like The One Percent, as well as budding stars like Matina Z and Frank Ryan.

Music industry veterans Farley Flex and Jamie Shear are coordinating the talent. The duo have collectively have produced scores of shows and festivals.

In addition to these performances, watch for the “Aurora’s Got the Voice” and “So You Think Aurora Can Dance” competitions that will be neatly inserted into the 20-plus hours of entertainment.

Flex and “So You Think You Can Dance Canada” finalist Miles Faber expect to discover the future stars of Aurora. Auditions have begun and will continue throughout the festival weekend, with both finals taking place on Sunday, July 28.
