Sports proposal for Hallmark building is “pie in the sky”

(Re: Sports groups make pitch for Hallmark building, August 20)

Regarding the proposal to turn the Hallmark building and surrounding lands into a mammoth sports development, I think Mr. Stephen Kimmerer must have been snorting fairy dust when he said, “You have no residential around it.”
He should familiarize himself with Falconwood Hollow and Wycliffe Gardens, both of which provide attractive townhouse living to hundreds of people on the Vandorf Sideroad directly opposite Hallmark.
Also, Brookfield Development is about to build a 57 residential complex on the Timberlane property, which is also opposite Hallmark. To all those involved in this Hallmark pie-in-the-sky proposal I say: please get the facts straight before you gallop off in all directions.
