One of the surest signs that spring is here to stay is the return of the Aurora Farmers’ Market, and local producers, artisans and community groups are eager to welcome customers back to Town Park this Saturday morning.
On Saturday, May 3, from 8 – 1 p.m., come out to Town Park for seasonal vegetables, meats, cheeses, crafts, and much more. May marks Pollinator Month and Beth’s Pollinator Club will be out in force to drive home the theme – also keep an eye out for a monarchical butterfly presence courtesy of Garden Aurora!
Saturday’s opening promises more than 45 vendors scattered throughout the Park’s paths and onto nearby Wells Street, a trend that is set to continue through the summer months.
Special event days this season include May 24’s Spring Festival; a Strawberry Festival and Canada Day celebration set for June 28; Customer Appreciation Day on July 26; a Community Corn Roast on August 23; and the launch of the Stuff-a-Truck campaign, an annual partnership with NewRoads Automotive where guests are invited to help quite literally stuff a truck with contributions for the Aurora Food Pantry on September 13.
Fall programs include the October 11 Harvest Festival and several Halloween costume parades set for the Market’s grand finale day on October 25.
The Aurora Farmers’ Market runs at Aurora Town Park each Saturday from May to October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
