Departments merge, new clerk at Town Hall

Beginning January 27, Aurora’s Department of Customer and Legislative Services will be combined with the Department of Legal Services under the new banner of “Legal and Legislative Services”.

This new department will be headed up by Town Solicitor Warren Mar. Under the new changes, the position of Town Clerk will no longer be Director of Customer and Legislative Services.

In staff lists issued Tuesday, John Leach is out as Town Clerk and the job will be filled by Cindy Maher, who has served as Deputy Clerk.
