Buck trial delayed until March

Further hearings in Councillor Evelyn Buck’s lawsuit against two sitting members of Council, former mayor Phyllis Morris, and three former councillors has been delayed until March.

Lawyers for Councillor Buck, along with lawyers for Ms. Morris, Councillors Wendy Gaertner and John Gallo, and former councillors Stephen Granger, Evelina MacEachern and Al Wilson, were due back in court on January 22.

The new date was set after Justice Edwards dismissed a six member jury in December at the end of the fifth week in court due to improper submissions made during closing arguments.
