Slow and steady wins the race

I do love this Town!
About 5 p.m. Wednesday I was travelling northward on Yonge Street toward St. John’s Sideroad, and noticed something of a line-up ahead of me, just north of St. John’s.
Shortly after, when the light changed and the roadway cleared, I had a great chuckle (belly laugh, if you must know).
Just north of the intersection, there was a turtle (good size too) trying to navigate from the median strip, slowly – very slowly – heading west. And a policeman holding up the southbound traffic (car with lights flashing, the whole bit), to help the turtle on its way.
When I got home, still chuckling, my husband said: “How did the turtle cross the road?” Answer: “With a police escort”.
