Neighbourhood Network launches holiday drive

November 10, 2016   ·   0 Comments

A couple of years ago, we were approached at Neighbourhood Network by a local small business owner who wanted to lend a hand to families in need at Christmas.
He and his staff, in lieu of buying gifts for one another, wanted rather to pool their resources and support others.
His concern was that he had no idea where the need existed. His employees just wanted to make sure their gifts went to someone who genuinely needed the hand up. That’s where Neighbourhood Network came in.
We have a number of our over 350 partner agencies who support families in need in our community. Our partners provide us a list of their most urgent needs. When gifts are dropped off at our office, we match those donations with the need. We can assure folks who donate to our Holiday Gift Drive that your generous donation will in fact end up in the hands of someone who truly will benefit.
We are now accepting donations at our Yonge Street office, the “wish lists” are already arriving from our charity partners.
If you, your family or your business want to learn more, please contact Maggie at our office. Your support will help someone in need at this special time of year.
