Cyclists need to show respect

July 13, 2016   ·   0 Comments

The Nokiidaa Trail boardwalk over the MacKenzie Marsh has signs at either end requesting that cyclists dismount. According to Parks and Rec workers, this is both to protect pedestrians and reduce disturbances to wildlife.
The signs are often ignored. Today, I was walking my bike and two women and their children came biking down the boardwalk, with people on it.
What a lesson in manners those children are getting!
This summer show some respect for others and wildlife: walk your bike on the boardwalk.
