Country star Terri Clark will be the headliner at this year’s Wild, Wild West Hoedown hosted by Magna International.
Clark, a seven-time Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Entertainer of the Year will take the stage September 14 in an evening of classic country and up and coming talent, the hallmark of what has become one of York Region’s biggest annual parties.
“The seven-time CCMA Entertainer of the Year has sold more than five million albums,” said event organizers. “She has charted over a dozen Top 10 hits and taken home the CCMA Female Vocalist of the Year Award five times. Terri also has the honour of being the only Canadian female artist to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry.”

The Hoedown Showdown will be determined in a series of community events in the lead-up to the Hoedown. Winners of the Showdown will also receive, in addition to the chance to perform, a grand prize of $1,000.
The 2013 Magna Wild, Wild West Hoedown will get underway at the Magna Campus just east of Wellington Street East and Bayview Avenue at 5 p.m. until midnight, and will feature their traditional barbecue, live entertainment, and raffle draw.
Event and raffle tickets are now on sale for the event at Jonathan’s Restaurant, and from one of 25 community groups selected this year to share proceeds from the annual party. For a full list of community partners and events leading up to Hoedown, visit www.hoedown.ca.
