“Proper” infrastructure is needed for Downtown Aurora

October 24, 2013   ·   0 Comments

There has been a change in the street scenery in the downtown area of Aurora.
A restaurant has moved locations into the historic downtown area. This food business may well help bring people into the downtown core and add to the ambiance of the area.
However, did the planning department account for the need for the additional parking?
How are the other businesses in the area coping for parking spots now?
Why are there not some park benches set-up along the street so shoppers such as seniors can take a break and enjoy the scenery in the historic area? Even though there are plans for development and expansion in the future, there are several needs which demand attention in the downtown area: sidewalks, curbs and mobility ramps need reconstruction and improvement now.
It is important to provide the proper infrastructure for the businesses and people in this area.
