In early April over 700 local volunteers braved the overcast and often chilly days for the Canadian Cancer Society’s annual Daffodils Days campaign. Daffodils Days kicked-off Cancer Awareness Month and our annual Residential Campaign.
Aurora residents joined the fight and thousands of daffodil pins found a home. Our canvassing volunteers knocked on thousands of doors and found many kind donors. So far we’ve had a very successful campaign and we could not do that without the caring volunteers who generously give their time.
It’s great to see so many people proudly wearing their pins out in our community. I’m amazed to see the determination of so many individuals coming together to fight this disease.
Every three minutes another Canadian is diagnosed with cancer and the Canadian Cancer Society will be there until cures are found.
We would like to recognize all the local businesses who opened their doors to our volunteers and I would like to extend a special thanks to the organizing committee. It’s your passion and determination that make this campaign a success!
Thank you to all our volunteers and donors. We hope that this year will bring many new discoveries in the fight against cancer.
