Armoury deal to become official Thursday

Newmarket-Aurora MP Lois Brown, Mayor Geoffrey Dawe and members of Council are expected to be on hand this Thursday at 4 p.m. as the old Aurora Armoury on Larmont Street at Mosley officially becomes property of the Town.
Council approved the purchase of the building for $514,000 last month, with the deal expected to close at the end of September.
It was built in 1874, and was the Aurora base of the Queen’s York Rangers until they moved to Industrial Parkway in 2012.
