SAC to dedicate new arena Saturday

St. Andrew’s College will officially open their new La Brier Family Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The grand opening of the new facility is one of the highlights of Spirit Week and Saturday’s Homecoming.

Events begin at 10 a.m. with soccer, volleyball and football games, along with children’s rides and activities, a vendor’s marketplace, and a bake sale under a tent on the quad. Following the arena dedication at 2.50 p.m., SAC’s Varsity Football Saints will take on the Upper Canada College Blues on Yuill Field. At the end of a busy day, the brand new arena will host three alumni hockey games.
