In Pictures: Youth get their groove on in Battle of the Bands

It was time for Aurora’s youth to get their groove on Saturday at the Aurora Community Centre for the Youth Music Extravaganza.
As the first event in a three-day bash celebrating the dual birthdays of Aurora and Canada this Canada Day Weekend, teens and pre-teens filled ACC1 for a Battle of the Bands, featuring York Region-based youth bands duking it out for musical supremacy, with selection ranging from Bachman Turner Overdrive to original metal songs.
10 Cent Pistol eventually won the day, before the Centre was taken over by the pros for the MuchMusic Video Dance Party, featuring an array of talent including Tyler Shaw.
