Why should we foot the bill?

I’m curious if Ms. Morris would have shared her $6 million with the tax payers had she been successful in her lawsuit. If not, why should we foot the bill? Perhaps I should start paying my taxes directly to Ms. Morris

(Editor’s Note: Within two weeks of the 2010 lawsuit, Ms. Morris told The Auroran that any funds spent by the Town in the lawsuit would be reimbursed if the lawsuit was successful. She did not, however, elaborate on her intentions should any award have been higher than what the Town spent.)
