Colours of Fall concert is a Thanksgiving appetizer

Before you get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving with your extended family, head over to Town Park this Thursday, October 8 for the Town of Aurora’s annual Colours of Fall Concert.

With a community corn roast and pumpkin carving activities – all the while enjoying country-themed tributes to Blue Rodeo and Keith Urban – it is the perfect way to start your Thanksgiving Weekend, according to Shelley Ware, Special Events Coordinator for the Town.

“Colours of Fall is a bit more interactive [than our Concerts in the Park series] because we provide complimentary pumpkins for families to carve that evening, along with carving supplies,” says Ms. Ware. “Also, because it is a bit chillier, being active keeps you warm. The planning on this event is to kick off the long weekend for families, one last concert in the gorgeous park with the leaves turning, and then you are onto your Thanksgiving long weekend.

“I really urge those families that have not come out to a concert to come out and check this out. The Colours of Fall is meant to be family oriented, and something cool to start off the long weekend. Once you have been to it once, you will come annually. Come out and take in what is being offered.”
The Colours of Fall concert and festivities get underway this Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. at Town Park.
