List went too far, says reader

I am looking at the current issue of The Auroran, April 30, and take issue with one of the sentences on Page 7 where it states: “A source close to the situation, however, said there were two options presented: a 30 day silent retreat, or a stay at Saint Luke Institute, near Washington D.C., an institute that largely serves Catholic priests for a variety of issues.”
Why did you not stop here?
Instead you went on detailing those issues including “treatment” of priests involved in child sexual abuse. Do you have anything factual on this matter or are you simply promoting rumour mongering by dropping such innuendoes.

(Editor’s Note: As part of its Healing Ministry, Saint Luke lists programs designed to treat several areas: “anxiety, addiction, depression, substance abuse, boundary issues, interpersonal problems, sexual issues, or other challenges.”)
