Council endorsed a settlement mediated by the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) on the redevelopment of the former Highland Gate golf course in a 6 – 3 vote on Wednesday night. The decision came after lengthy closed door talks with Councillors Wendy Gaertner, Tom Mrakas and Jeff Thom voting against the deal.
