\nI currently buy dog food in large bags.
\nThese bags cannot go in the blue box because they are heavily waxed, so I use them to put out the garbage. When the \u201cClear Bag\u201d program starts, I\u2019m not supposed to re-use these bags. I\u2019m to stuff them into a clear bag to throw out. How is this helpful?
\nThe new initiative also says \u201cyou can still use used grocery bags for waste collection.\u201d
\nThe grocery bags are to ensure privacy, but then they must be seen inside a clear plastic bag for pick-up. What exactly does that accomplish?
\nOther 2015 changes refer to \u201cvolunteer residents\u201d to tell people about composters.
\nPeople who want to compost are doing it. To imply people aren\u2019t aware of composting is quite a haughty stance. It\u2019s like saying \u201cwe should have volunteers educate folks door-to-door about the health benefits of exercise.\u201d
\nSurely then everyone who doesn\u2019t exercise will start.
\nBeing in opposition to a green initiative is not good optics, but not every green idea is a good idea.<\/p>\n
