The election is over and, predictably, concerns were raised about the Aurora\u2019s voter turnout of only 35.74 per cent.
\nBy our usual definition, this election was fair and democratic.
\nThat is to say, everyone knew the rules and there were not imposed barriers to prevent any of the qualified voters from marking their ballots.
\nTherefore, 100 per cent of the qualified voters exercised their democratic right \u2013 to vote for the candidates of their choice \u2013 OR NOT.<\/p>\n
