Thank you for reading my letter and responding to same.
\nYou state that I \u201cposed questions but provided no answers.\u201d I did not pose any questions, therefore there was no need to provide answers.
\nMy criticism was, and is, the misinformation your delegates presented at the council meeting in question.
\nThe statement in your letter to The Auroran, \u201cthe material advantage of surrendering one\u2019s property rights to the authority of bureaucracy remains elusive\u201d is inane, at best misleading and continues in the vein of the above noted misinformation.
\nI do support the concept of designated historical districts because in my opinion it protects the historical and architectural integrity of one\u2019s neighbourhood and sets a higher standard as to what can be built in a specific area.
\nHopefully further information and clarification from the consultant, Mr. Bray will address the concerns of the residents and enable a factual and rational decision one way or the other.<\/p>\n
