There is graffiti marking a historic building in downtown Aurora. In fact, another building in the downtown area has been \u201ctagged\u201d by a person spraying paint in the form of graffiti.
\nIs a gang tagging this area to be their turf?
\nAt first, I was surprised to see that this painting on the south wall of the Old Town Hall on Yonge Street was so visible. Why wouldn\u2019t this type of vandalism be checked by the by law department of Aurora?
\nAfter asking a Town of Aurora Councillor about this graffiti, I was told by the Councillor that \u201cAurora has no official policy on graffiti\u201d.
\nSo, it seems that there is no agency controlling this type of vandalism in the Town of Aurora. It is a shame that our downtown area is being defaced by someone and that there seems to be a lack of action to remove the graffiti.
\nHope that some positive steps to improve the quality of life in the downtown core area of Aurora will start soon!<\/p>\n
