A male teen is dead after being struck by a GO Train in the north end of Aurora on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

He was hit on the tracks by a southbound train on the Barrie-Toronto line during the early morning commute just north of the St. John\u2019s Sideroad rail crossing, just west of Industrial Parkway North. <\/p>\n

York Regional Police were called to the scene at 6.15 a.m., according to Constable Andy Pattenden, and the preliminary investigation concluded around 9 a.m. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt looks like he was an older teenage male,\u201d said Sergeant Clint Whitney. \u201cThere are no suspicious circumstances or any criminality that has come to light.\u201d<\/p>\n

The incident created several problems for early-morning commuters the length of the corridor. People heading south on the GO were stranded on the train as all movement was halted on the Barrie line pending the investigation until just after 8.30 a.m. <\/p>\n
