\nCongratulations are in Order<\/strong><\/p>\n

Congratulations to everyone on the \u201cPayback in Paradise\u201d murder mystery drama team for the two wonderful shows! Both audiences thoroughly enjoyed the play. For some, it was the first time they had seen a murder mystery performed. All the rehearsals and the time and effort you all put into this really made such a difference. The play was written Aurora Seniors\u2019 Association (ASA) member Bert Wheeler. What a lovely surprise the ASA Silver Stars received on Wednesday, October 9, after their performance when Cliff White of PROBUS Aurora presented to our director of the Silver Stars Drama Club, Judy Buchanan, a donation cheque of $100 to the Aurora Seniors\u2019 Association.
\nCongratulations as well to our ASA Carvers, successful at a recent carving show. Sue Phillips and Fred Ash won ribbons at the Ontario Woodcarvers\u2019 Association 34th Annual Show and Competition. The event was held October 19 and 20 at the Pickering Recreation Centre. Sue won first and third in the novice division with her stylized geese.
\nFred received a second in the Intermediate Division with his carving of an Ojibwa trapper. <\/p>\n

Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Drive 2013<\/strong>
\nCouncillor John Abel asks for volunteers to man this year\u2019s Christmas Army Kettle Drive in our community. If you can spare two hours, give him a call at the Town of Aurora or call Neighbourhood Network at 905-726-3737 and they will set you up at any one of three locations in Aurora.<\/p>\n
