I read with great interest Councillor Gallo\u2019s Letter to the Editor in last week\u2019s edition of the Auroran.
\nI am proud to have good people like John Gallo and most others on Council represent the residents of Aurora.
\nTheir job is not an easy job. The anonymous writer who referred to the \u201cthree stooges\u201d is obviously in political alignment with others, for whatever reason. I personally detest such unenlightened myopic self-interest. A Council that is so divided on every issue, however small or large, for reasons of political motivation, is generally unproductive and, frankly, unhealthy for the community.
\nI hope that with experience they can learn to do a better job by respecting each other and working for the common good of the residents.
\nJust take a look south of the border (The United States, not Richmond Hill!) and see the results of political dysfunction! It is a difficult decision to take time from your family and your career to serve in your community.
\nAs for John\u2019s hair, if I had any hair left on my head, I\u2019d go into the barbershop and proudly say \u201cGive me The Gallo\u201d. I agree that more people with the required talents, knowledge and energy should step forward and run for political office. And, oh yes, I forgot to say, integrity. Keep up the good work Mr. Gallo.
