The Aurora Farmers\u2019 Market and Artisan Fair, in partnership with the Aurora Cultural Roundtable, will be celebrating Culture Days on Saturday, September 28, with a culinary arts extravaganza.

\nWith an emphasis on fresh, healthy locally grown food, Market chefs will be highlighting the dishes of yesteryear in honour of Aurora\u2019s Sesquicentennial.<\/p>\n

Chefs will prepare dishes made with ingredients sourced at the Market that would have been prepared by their grandmothers and that they grew up eating. <\/p>\n

As several of the chefs hail from Europe, visitors can look forward to an offering of multi-cultural dishes that reflect the growing ethnic diversity of York Region. <\/p>\n

The Culinary Arts celebration begins at 9:00 a.m. with each chef working in rotation to prepare his dish for sampling. Recipes will be provided and, as even the organizers do not yet know the dishes the chefs have chosen, everyone can prepare for delightful surprises!<\/p>\n

The Aurora Farmers\u2019 Market is inviting everyone to join this exciting celebration of the culinary arts as part of human culture. As you enjoy the ambience of the day, organizers encourage you to take the opportunity to look at the often one-of-a kind art pieces created by the artisans who are an integral part of the Market. <\/p>\n
