{"id":36451,"date":"2025-06-20T12:44:29","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T16:44:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/?p=36451"},"modified":"2025-06-20T12:44:32","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T16:44:32","slug":"new-seniors-active-living-centre-will-serve-francophone-residents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/new-seniors-active-living-centre-will-serve-francophone-residents\/","title":{"rendered":"New Seniors Active Living Centre will serve francophone residents"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A new Seniors Active Living Centre will provide further opportunities for Francophone and Francophile residents of Newmarket-Aurora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Village Vitalit\u00e9 is the latest initiative of Communaut\u00e9 du Trille Blanc, a local organization which has long-term plans for French-speaking seniors\u2019 residence in Aurora\u2019s south end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Village Vitalit\u00e9 project received a significant boost last week with Newmarket-Aurora MPP Dawn Gallagher Murphy presenting the organization with $50,000 to help make it a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCommunaut\u00e9 du Trille Blanc\u2019s new Village Vitalit\u00e9 program will be a great addition for our seniors,\u201d said MPP Gallagher Murphy. \u201cIt will offer seniors from the entire community the opportunity to stay fit, active, healthy and socially connected through various activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSenior Active Living Centres keep our seniors fit, active, healthy, socially connected, in their communities, and close to their homes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Added Jean Bouchard, Chair of the Board of Directors for Communaut\u00e9 du Trille blanc: \u201cThis is a proud and meaningful moment for our organization. The launch of the Village vitalit\u00e9 program marks a significant step forward in our mission to support Francophone and Francophile seniors.
