{"id":36209,"date":"2025-05-01T16:32:05","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T20:32:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/?p=36209"},"modified":"2025-05-01T16:32:07","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T20:32:07","slug":"cause-of-grass-fire-in-nature-reserve-still-unknown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/cause-of-grass-fire-in-nature-reserve-still-unknown\/","title":{"rendered":"Cause of grass fire in nature reserve still unknown"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cause of a grass fire in the David Tomlinson Nature Reserve on Wednesday, April 23, remains under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Central York Fire Services responded to a call at the Reserve around 5 p.m. that afternoon, specifically to the area near Scrivener Drive and William Graham Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhile on route, multiple calls were received reporting a large grass fire,\u201d said the CYFS in a statement. \u201cThe fire produced large plumes of smoke. CYFS crews deployed additional resources, applied water, and extinguished the fire.
