{"id":3289,"date":"2013-07-24T17:26:41","date_gmt":"2013-07-24T21:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/?p=3289"},"modified":"2013-07-24T17:26:41","modified_gmt":"2013-07-24T21:26:41","slug":"grateful-students-thank-late-teacher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/grateful-students-thank-late-teacher\/","title":{"rendered":"Grateful students thank late teacher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Olive Louise Komar passed away on June 23, 2013.<br \/>\nMrs. Komar taught in Pine Orchard, Aurora Public School, Wells Street Public School and Aurora Senior Public School during her long career.<br \/>\nAs former students of Mrs. Komar during the late 50\u2019s and early 60\u2019s at Wells Street Public School, we would like to acknowledge her influence on us and express our gratitude.<br \/>\nAlthough many decades ago, we still have fond memories of Grade 4.<br \/>\nShe recognized our talents, encouraged us to meet her expectations, firmly admonished us when we strayed and praised our accomplishments both big and small.<br \/>\nThe classroom contained wood desks in fixed rows, books, art supplies, pencils and paper. She taught lessons from material written on the blackboard in beautiful cursive script.
