Volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. North was one of 123 \u201cremarkable Canadians\u201d whose\nhonours were recognized by Governor General Julie Payette to mark Canada Day\nlast week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. North, who has been instrumental in the development\nof the Nature\u2019s Emporium Run for Southlake and numerous other community\ninitiatives, including the rebuilding efforts of Aurora United Church, will\nreceive the medal \u201cfor his volunteer service to his community since 2001,\nnotably with the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and the Southlake Regional Health\nCentre Foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Sovereign\u2019s Medal for Volunteers recognizes the\nremarkable volunteer achievements of Canadians from across the country in a\nwide range of fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an official Canadian honour, the Medal pays tribute to\nthe dedication and exemplary commitment of volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recipients will receive their honours at ceremonies when present circumstances surrounding the global pandemic
