All Kids Can Play sponsors and local realtors Mauro Bucci\nand Angie Vallelunga purchased and donated meals for less fortunate families\nlast Wednesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The All Kids Can Play members visited Aw Shucks! Oyster Bar\nand Bistro to pick up their meals, consisting of pasta, garden salad and bread\nrolls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Families were required to designate a specific pick-up time\nfor the meal within a two-hour window. The package fed up to a family of four. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn these difficult times, when everyone\u2019s lives are\naffected in one way or another by the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to make a\ndifference and offer these families an enjoyable evening in their home, without\nhaving to cook a meal for one night,\u201d Vallelunga said via Sport Aurora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is all about making a difference for families in need\nwhile supporting a local restaurant. We would like to thank Aw Shucks owner\nBenny Soscia, general manager Andrew Taranowski, and executive chef Alex Abate\nfor providing us a discounted rate to make this happen,\u201d Bucci expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bucci and Vallelunga of MeandANG Real Estate (with Re\/Max\nRealty Specialists Inc), currently have a program in place with a goal set to\nraise $25,000. With All Kids Can Play not currently in service to the\ncommunity, these local realtors have stepped in to aid members of the All Kids\nCan Play program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey came to us and said, what about us helping out\nfamilies; our All Kids Can Play families, and provide them with a meal,\u201d says\nRon Weese, President of Sport Aurora. \u201cWe said, fantastic. They initiated it,\nout of their own generosity and their own interest in helping build the\ncommunity.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Weese, 120 families have benefitted from this act\nof kindness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was treated like a take-out. Families did not stay. They\ngrabbed their meals, expressed their thanks and went back home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weese went to add that Sport Aurora is investigating opening\na GoFundMe page where the organization can continue to make this happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the near future, a page will be created for the All Kids\nCan Play program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey not only need to play, but they need to eat,\u201d Weese\nsaid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
