This past Easter, the COVID-19 pandemic inspired families\nacross Aurora to deck out their windows to celebrate the holiday \u2013 and now, if\nyou\u2019ve packed away the paper eggs and bunnies that framed your doorway, there\nis a new reason for you to flex your creative muscles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Town of Aurora has issued a new window decorating\nchallenge, this time dedicated to the essential services keeping our community\n\u2013 and our country \u2013 on track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Town of Aurora invites the community to show their\ngratitude for all those that continue to care for us and ensure we have enough\nfood and supplies throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,\u201d the Town announced on\nThursday. \u201cFrom now, until Monday, May 11, create a heartfelt window display to\nshow your community spirit and gratitude for essential frontline workers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the sky, the size of your windows and doorways\n\u2013 and, of course, physical distancing \u2013 are really the only limits to your\ncreativity, but there are three key steps to keep in mind in order to\nparticipate in the Essential Services Window Decorating Challenge:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Decorate\nyour window with handmade arts and crafts<\/li>
  2. Take\na picture of your decorated window<\/li>
  3. Have\nyour parent or guardian post a photo of your window to Facebook or Instagram\nusing the hashtag #AuroraEssentialServices \u2013 tagging the municipality on\nFacebook @Town_of_Aurora or on Instagram @TownofAurora<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n


    \nAll participants must continue to practice physical distancing and only\nparticipate with members of their immediate household.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Entries will be featured on Aurora\u2019s Facebook and\nInstagram stories on May 12 and will feature in the May 14 edition of The\nAuroran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cLet\u2019s start showing our love, so the essential frontline\nworkers know we appreciate them,\u201d said the Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
