Southlake Regional Health Centre and Southlake Foundation\nare asking for donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), vital in keeping\nfront-line clinical workers safe while treating patients as we continue the\nfight against COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southlake is facing unprecedented demands as our teams\nmanage the influx of patients who require extra precautions during treatment.\nNot only does PPE protect our staff providing care to those with or suspected\nto have COVID-19, it is crucial to prevent the spread of the virus in hospital\nand keep other vulnerable patients safe. To help manage this critical volume,\nwe are calling on those in the medical community such as dental offices,\nveterinary clinics and other health professionals, as well as construction\ncompanies or other industries who may have access to donate your available\nsupplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hospital is currently seeking donations of the\nfollowing unused, unopened and unexpired PPE:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Protective\ngloves (all sizes) nitrile or vinyl<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Ear-loop masks\nASTMF2100-11, L2 rating or greater<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       N95 masks\nNIOSH or CE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Gowns AAMI, L2\nrating or greater<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Vented goggles\nCSA Z94.3-2015 or ANSI287.1-2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note, we cannot accept other related supplies,\nincluding hand-sewn masks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PPE items can be dropped off at Southlake\u2019s receiving\narea, located at 596 Davis Drive, Newmarket, accessible from Grace Street (off\nof Prospect Street). Items will be accepted Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to\n3:30 p.m. Social distancing guidelines will be adhered to during drop-off.\nPlease stay two metres (six feet) away from other people. If you are\nexperiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to drop off\ndonations. Full guidelines and additional information can be found online\nat https:\/\/southlake.ca\/foundation\/southlake-ppe-drive\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those unable to support with donations of PPE but\ninterested in supporting the most urgent needs, including ventilators, to help\nsupport Southlake\u2019s response to COVID-19 can donate online at www.southlake.ca\/foundation\/donateCOVID-19<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
