However, this location ultimately received the thumbs-down\nbecause it was within 90 metres of an educational institution \u2013 in this case,\nthe Inspiration Private School located at 15260 Yonge Street, an adult\neducation program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With their rejection in hand, proponents of the retail\ncannabis shop have been working with the Town to identify a suitable new location\nand have set their sights on 160 Wellington Street East, Unit 3, a retail\nstorefront located on the ground floor of the condominium building located on\nWellington\u2019s northwest corner with Industrial Parkway North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs the last location at Yonge and Wellington did not\nmeet Provincial regulations and guidelines, the applicants worked with the Town\nto find a new location that does meet all provincial and municipal guidelines\nfor locations,\u201d said Mayor Tom Mrakas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to provincial guidelines, a cannabis retail\nstore can\u2019t be located near a school or private school if the proposed retail\nstore is less than 150 metres away from the school, private school, or\neducational institution\u2019s property line.
