Just under a month into the Ontario\nJunior Hockey League season, and the assets are already being shown the door\nfor the Aurora Tigers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Payton Schaly was the first member of\nthe club to be sent packing on Monday, ten games into a season where the Aurora\nteam is still yet to find themselves in the win column. The second-year Tiger\nwas set for a breakout sophomore season, posting two goals and three assist in\nhis first seven games, before being shipped to the Collingwood Colts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet the Tigers will go on without their\nwinger as they try to move away from a historic 0-8-0-2 start to the regular\nseason, the first of its kind in club history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last weekend marked the latest pair of\nlosses to add to the pile, both close scores to the Pickering Panthers and the\nSt. Michael\u2019s Majors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visiting Pickering on Friday, Andrew\nBarwinski was still looking for his first win between the pipes in an Aurora\nuniform, looking stellar in a shutout first two periods. Aurora\u2019s Noah Romeo\nwas the only player on both sides to solve either team\u2019s goaltending in the\nsecond, before Pickering exploded for three goals in the first twelve minutes\nof the third, on route to a 4 \u2013 2 finish after a late empty netter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barwinski finished with 33 saves on 36\nPickering shots, while Jalen Balbosa earned the other tally for the Tigers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The streak continued on Saturday back at\nthe Aurora Community Centre, where Aurora trailed from early on right until the\nfinal buzzer in a 3 \u2013 2 final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

St. Mike\u2019s Brad Somers beat Aurora\ngoalie Christian Filippetti just over a minute into regulation, prompting a\nback and forth affair that had Aurora goals from Kaleb Nelson and Jackson\nClark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only two points have come the Tigers\u2019\nway so far in this OJHL season, sitting without a win through ten games just\ntwo seasons after being crowned conference champions. That marks the worst\nrecord in the entire OJHL, two points shy of the Buffalo Jr. Sabres, who\nmanaged their first pair of wins last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is still hope, though, early on:\nthe North has had the slowest start of any of the league\u2019s divisions so far\nthis season, with the Markham Royals leading the way at a record of 6-3-0-2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Trenton Golden Hawks are pacing the\nleague at 10-3-0-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for Aurora, the quest to get into the\nwin column continues on Friday in hosting the Toronto Patriots, leaders of the\nSouth division, for a puck drop at 7:30 p.m. at the Aurora Community Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
