{"id":24619,"date":"2019-09-05T19:11:37","date_gmt":"2019-09-05T23:11:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/?p=24619"},"modified":"2019-09-12T17:21:26","modified_gmt":"2019-09-12T21:21:26","slug":"under-11-akba-jays-reign-as-oba-champions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/under-11-akba-jays-reign-as-oba-champions\/","title":{"rendered":"Under-11 AKBA Jays reign as OBA champions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By Jake Courtepatte<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Under-11 Aurora King Jays are tops in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AA squad took to the fields in\nVaughan over Labour Day Weekend for the annual Ontario Baseball Association (OBA)\nchampionships, one of thousands of teams across the province competing in their\nrespective end of year tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A successful start in an 8 \u2013 5 win over\nthe Oakville A\u2019s to open the tournament Friday was the start of five straight\nwins for the Aurora King squad, the only team in the tournament to accomplish\nthe feat.
