The Town of Aurora is thrilled to be\nhosting the 2019 CP Women\u2019s Open; the first ever LPGA Tour event hosted in our\nTown and the first one in the GTA after almost 20 years!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking place at the prestigious Magna Golf\nClub from August 19 to 25, this Championship tournament features the best of\nthe best in women\u2019s golf. More than 50,000 people are expected over the course\nof the week and you will definitely want to be one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As many of you know, Aurora is quite the\ngolf community. We are very lucky to have so many high-quality golf courses in\nand around our Town, one of course being Magna Golf Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This immaculate course will provide an\nexcellent challenge for the world\u2019s best women\u2019s golfers and provide a scenic\nbackdrop for players and fans. I know everyone will be \u201cwowed\u201d by Magna\u2019s\nhospitality experience and fantastic energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would also like to take a moment to\ntouch on Canadian Pacific\u2019s charitable arm, CP Has Heart. As you know, there\nare many short and long-term economic benefits to welcoming large sports events\ninto our Town, such as increased tourism and raising our community\u2019s profile.\nHowever, the absolute icing on the cake is CP\u2019s dedication to investing in our\nlocal community with a donation of up to $250,000 for the Southlake Regional\nHealth Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This amazing donation will have a long and\nlasting impact on our community, allowing the hospital to enhance its\npaediatric cardiac care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
