What another fine day\nat the Farmers\u2019 Market on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the forecast\nfor rain and thunder storms, we enjoyed a beautiful, hot summer day during\nwhich there were cooling breezes to make things comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the\npleasant weather, we enjoyed music played by a wonderful young couple called,\u201d\nSky and Rose\u201d. There were so many positive comments about them from\nmarket-goers that we will try to book them for a return visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year one of our\nnew vendors is a husband and wife team, Ashley and Richard Casagrande. Richard\nhas a small wood business, Grande Woodcraft, where he makes personalized\ncharcuterie boards and tables, while Ashley creates essential oil roller blends\nand sells products for chemical free alternatives to everyday cleaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richard has always\nloved building things with his hands. Initially, it began as a way to reduce\nstress after the addition of their two boys. However, it slowly developed into\na business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richard started\nlearning tips and tricks from friends and the woodworking community and began\nto create small cutting and charcuterie boards for family and friends. He later\nbegan making unique boards using electricity that created lightning-like burn\nmarks in the wood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He loves how each\nboard is different and that you cannot go into a store to buy a board like the\nones he creates. Each one is unique. Richard takes great care in creating\nboards for custom orders and is motivated by the thought of people coming\ntogether to share food and family. He is delighted to be a part of that\ncamaraderie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashley is a plant\nlover and gardener who has always loved incorporating natural, plant-based\nsolutions into her daily routine. Her desire for natural, chemical-free\nalternatives was even greater after the birth of her two boys, Leo, 4, and\nGabriel, 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashley wanted to find\nways to avoid certain chemicals in her life as well as the lives of her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was introduced to\nessential oils by a friend and realized that she could swap out many common\nchemicals for natural, plant-based ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After much research\nand the help of an online \u201coily\u201d community, Ashley began blending oils and\nmaking unique roller bottle blends that can be applied topically to help with\nsuch common complaints as headaches, indigestion and stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the\nroller bottle blends, Ashley has begun to make natural cleaning products which\ncan be used to clean a variety of surfaces such as glass, natural stone and\ntile. Ashley is available for essential oil consultations and loves taking\ncustom orders for a blend for a specific need or age. For the sake of complete\ntransparency here, this writer challenged Ashley to make a roller bottle blend\nto address a digestive condition. She rose to the challenge and I\u2019m delighted\nto say that the results are very positive. I recommend stopping by their booth\nin the park to see what each has to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next \u201cSpecial Event\u201d\nis our \u201cCustomer Appreciation Day\u201d on July 20 when the entertainment will be\nprovided by \u201cHowlin\u2019 Fine Music\u201d, back by popular demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be the\nusual free crafts for the children and a draw for a Market bag full of goodies.\nWe will keep the rest of our plans for the day a surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
