There is a proposal to construct wind turbines on Juno Beach.
\nThe French Government is asking for input from Canada but I feel many Canadians are not aware of the situation. I have written to my MP, MP and Veteran’s Canada but have little feedback from them. I feel that to create the wind turbines would be a travesty to what went on there, to the many men who sacrificed so much of themselves. There may be many others from Aurora who feel the same way: frustrated at how to make contact when the French Government does want our feedback!
\nI know many others who would want to be aware of this situation in France. Juno Beach needs to be declared a World Heritage Site preserved from future local development. France has already built condos on the edge of the beach.
\nAs such, I have created a petition to preserve Juno Beach from wind farm development. It can be signed at tinyurl.com\/juno-beach-survey.<\/p>\n
