What an exciting night for Aurora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This past week, at a Special Meeting of Aurora Town Council, our\ncommunity took a big step forward in the revitalization of our downtown core as\nCouncil approved the design and proposed funding strategy for the Library\nSquare project!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We heard from a number of delegates including key stakeholders\nrepresenting the Library, the BIA, the Chamber and the Cultural Centre\nexpressing enthusiastic support for this transformative project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a lively debate and discussion around the Council table. A\nnumber of questions were raised, in particular as it relates to parking and to\nfunding, all of which were addressed by staff, architects and\/or the\nconsultants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a pivotal point in our Town\u2019s history and one that will\nchange the trajectory of our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our residents are excited about this project and I am incredibly\nproud of Council for working together to take this next step to move the\nproject from concept to reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In many ways, we are returning to the roots of our Town by\nbringing our downtown core back to its former glory and making it a dynamic\ncommunity gathering space once again. We are investing in our community and I\u2019m\nconfident this will encourage businesses to follow suit and invest in downtown\nAurora.  I am looking forward to our\nshared future of positive change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
