This\nweek at a Special Meeting of Council (Thursday, March 21, at 5:45 p.m.),\nCouncil will be taking a big step towards moving the redevelopment of Library Square\nfrom concept to reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nimportant revitalization initiative has been a project that has taken 20 years\nto get to this point, including extensive consultations with residents and\nlocal businesses, staff and Council past and present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nis an exciting time for our Town. We are poised to move forward towards a\npositive future by returning to our past and recognizing the critical role that\nAurora\u2019s heritage \u2013 and historical core \u2013 can play in our future economic\ngrowth through the redevelopment of Library Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our\ndowntown core was the heart of our community and economic hub of our Town for\ngenerations. And through the key revitalization initiative of Library Square\nit\u2019s on its way to be that \u2013 and so much more \u2013 for generations to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am looking\nforward to the discussion at the table on March 21 and taking this important\nstep in the transformation of our downtown core.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
