A 24-year-old Aurora man faces two charges of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman.
\nCharged is Pabiram Ravichandran of Aurora who was a contracted security guard at Southlake Regional Health Centre, according to York Regional Police.
\n\u201cIn July 2017, York Regional Police began an investigation into a contracted security guard working at Southlake Regional Health Centre,\u201d said Constable Laura Nicolle. \u201cA 16-year-old female victim, who was familiar with the security guard from a previous visit to the hospital, came forward and reported being sexually assaulted by the accused off hospital grounds after he finished work.
\n\u201cDuring the investigation, officers received a report from a second victim, a 19-year-old female, who advised that she was befriended by the accused while at hospital. After leaving the hospital, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused.\u201d
\nPolice released an image of Ravichandran to ensure that there are no further victims. \"2017-08-31-02\"
\nThe charges have not been proven in court.
\nHe is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on September 13.
\n\u201cA sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature,\u201d says Constable Nicolle. \u201cYork Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.\u201d
