win double gold at OMHA Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Jake Courtepatte<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A pair of York-Simcoe AAA clubs brought home the ultimate hardware at the AAA OMHA Championships last weekend.<br \/>\nThe Minor Atom Express traveled to Clarington for a tournament-style championship with the Halton Hurricanes, Clarington Toros, Southern Tier Admirals, and Markham Waxers, coming out on top without a loss in the series.<br \/>\nThree wins and a tie led to a final matchup with the hometown Toros, with the Express squeaking out a 1 \u2013 0 victory to claim the championship.<br \/>\nThe team celebrated with a ride through Main Street in Schomberg on the fire department\u2019s 1929 fire truck.<br \/>\nThe Bantam Express also earned gold, losing just one game in their finals weekend, held at St. Andrew\u2019s College.<br \/>\nAfter putting up just six losses in the regular season, the Bantams took down the Barrie Jr. Colts, Niagara North Stars, and
