It\u2019s a case of d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu in York Region football.
\nIn a predictable rematch, the St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic High School Mustangs of Aurora will face the Huron Heights Warriors of Newmarket in the York Region Athletic Association\u2019s championship on Saturday, after dominating performances in their semifinal matchups.
\nMustangs senior quarterback Ben Langlois proved his status as a YRAA all-star with four touchdown passes in Thursday\u2019s tilt with the Bill Crothers Colts, who finished third in league standings.
\nWhile his arm found Nolan Lovegrove twice, and Jordan Torres and Jack Camplin once, in the end zone, Langlois ran it in himself for the Mustangs other major in the game.
\nRunning back Ron Boshoer ruled the ground work in the game, picking up 191 rushing yards in a 43 \u2013 9 victory.
\nThe next day saw the Warriors taking on the 3 – 3 King City Lions in the other semifinal game, a lopsided affair that ended in a final score of 55 \u2013 1.
\nDanny McWhirter had two rushing majors, followed by one each in the air from Jericho Daher and Aiden Mielzcarek, by the end of the first half as the Warriors took a 32 \u2013 1 lead into intermission.
\nJayden Thompson also picked up two touchdowns in the game for the Warriors.
\nThe win has moved the Warriors into the top ten ranked teams in the nation, according to canadafootballchat.com, jumping from eleventh to ninth thanks to their semifinal win.
\nThe first and second-ranked teams were on a separate level from their opponents all season, the Mustangs going 5 \u2013 1 losing only to Huron, who finished the season 6 \u2013 0.
\nSaturday\u2019s game will be a rematch of the 2015 final, where the Warriors spoiled the Mustang\u2019s first trip to the championship in a 42 \u2013 3 victory.
\nThis year marks Huron\u2019s thirteenth consecutive trip to the regional final.
\nThe two teams will face off in a full day of football action at St. Max on Saturday, kicking off with King City and Bill Crothers determining the consolation champion at noon, followed by the Tier II final between the Villanova Knights and Brother Andre Cardinals at 3 p.m.
