A fictitious and slightly magical community in the northeastern U.S near the Canadian border is the setting for Theatre Aurora\u2019s latest production of \u201cAlmost, Maine\u201d.<\/p>\n

The \u201calmost\u201d comes from the fact that the residents never got around to being organized enough to establish a proper town, so it\u2019s… almost.
\nBut, that explanation is just a backdrop to the series of several stories that take place on the same winter\u2019s night.<\/p>\n

The play, by John Cariani focuses on relationships, with the vignettes bracketed by one heart-warming tale set on a park bench that takes place in three parts. Many of the stories have a slight twist to them, and not all have happy endings, but that\u2019s the nature of relationships.<\/p>\n

Overall, the stories are entertaining and very well written.<\/p>\n

Better yet, they are nicely performed by six young men and women, who each play a variety of roles. Cole Davison, Bryce Davison, Diana DelRosario, Connor Maclachlan, Laryssa Paskaruk and Maggie Street are all talented young actors, and bring a lot of emotion and empathy to their array of characters.<\/p>\n
