The Saints will go marching into the under-16 CISAA quarterfinals next Tuesday on home court after a successful season.<\/p>\n

The St. Andrew\u2019s College team closed out the volleyball regular season with a win on Wednesday, taking down Royal St. George\u2019s College in four highly-contested sets. Up two sets to one, the Saints were down 20 \u2013 23 in the fourth as the match seemed destined to head to a fifth and deciding set, only for Drew Crix to serve up five aces for the Saints to earn the victory.<\/p>\n

While the team was without captain and leading scorer Dara Goharchi and outside hitter Carson Ricca, their teammates were able to step up their play to close out the season on a positive note. Coaches Anthony Gilroy and Kristen Kang credited Noah Hulton as the \u201cspark and greatest offensive threat\u201d for the Saints in the game, and was \u201ccompletely dominant\u201d at the net.<\/p>\n

The win closes out the Saints\u2019 season with a 4-2-0 record, good for third place in CISAA standings. That sets them up for a rematch with Royal St. George\u2019s, who finished sixth in the league with a 1-5-0 record.<\/p>\n

Appleby College (6-0-0) and St. Michael\u2019s College (5-1-0) both earn byes straight to the semi-final. <\/p>\n
