\nWith the school year just around the corner comes the end of another summer soccer season.<\/p>\n

The Aurora Youth Soccer Club is hosting their annual Stinger Cup tournament this weekend at Sheppard\u2019s Bush and the Magna fields, with age groups from five to eighteen vying for the title of best house-league team in Aurora.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a busy schedule,\u201d said Sandy Porter, House-League Coordinator. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot going on this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

At Magna, the Aurora Lions Club food truck will be serving up pancakes and coffee until 11am, then turn on the grill for some hot dogs, hamburgers, chili, fries, and cold drinks. Over at Sheppard\u2019s Bush, The Optimist Club of Aurora will be serving up some similar grub.<\/p>\n

The under-13 and older leagues will participate in round-robin competition, while the younger athletes will have a \u201cfestival\u201d style of play.<\/p>\n

The tournament comes on the heels of the club announcing the winner of their contest to find a new motto, held for the months of June and July. After carefully reviewing all entries, the minimalistic \u201cOne Style, One Passion\u201d was deemed the winner.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur club was looking for a fresh, inspiring motto to get the entire club united,\u201d said executive director Jimmy Brennan. \u201cWe all represent the same club and we strongly feel the new motto represents us as a group.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brennan continued in saying the two phrases invoke both the technical and emotional superiority of the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur technical director Dave and his entire staff strive to play a free-flowing attacking style of soccer, from our grassroots programs right through to our high-performance OPDL (Ontario Player Development League) teams. \u2018One Passion\u2019 is obvious, our passion for the game of soccer, which unites our club.\u201d<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s final tournament of the year comes in late September, the prestigious John Traganitis Tournament, hosting all-star teams from across Ontario.<\/p>\n
