{"id":10239,"date":"2015-04-01T17:22:51","date_gmt":"2015-04-01T21:22:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/?p=10239"},"modified":"2015-04-01T17:22:51","modified_gmt":"2015-04-01T21:22:51","slug":"sunshine-list-grows-by-five-at-town-hall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newspapers-online.com\/auroran\/sunshine-list-grows-by-five-at-town-hall\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunshine List grows by five at Town Hall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Brock Weir<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ontario\u2019s \u201cSunshine List\u201d, the annual disclosure of public sector employees making over $100,000 per year, grew Province-wide over the past year &#8212; and Aurora was no exception.<\/p>\n<p>The number of individuals making over this $100,000 threshold for 2014 grew from 26 in last year\u2019s list to 31 this year.<\/p>\n<p>The Town of Aurora\u2019s top earner continues to be Chief Administrative Officer Neil Garbe, who made $208,889.52 with $11,842.25 in taxable benefits, compared to a salary of $197,507.18 the previous year and $11,601.27 in taxable benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Tied for second place are Town Treasurer Dan Elliott and Ilmar Simanovskis, Director of Infrastructure and Environmental Services, who each made $172,185.30 and $2,446.86 in taxable benefits.
